MSDS/Label
Globally Harmonized System of Classifìcation and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS in short, also known as the “Purple Book”) is a normative file published by the United Nations in 2003 to guide countries in establishing a unified chemical classification and labeling system, so it is often called the United Nations GHS. The United Nations GHS is revised every two years, the first revision in 2005, and the current version is the sixth revision in 2015.
The 2002 UN World Summit on Sustainable Development encouraged all countries to implement GHS before 2008. In order to ensure consistency with the UN GHS, countries have successively promulgated corresponding regulations. Among them, the European Union officially issued the CLP regulations in 2009, China officially implemented the Chinese GHS in 2011, and the United States issued the HCS standard in 2012.
